How Many Solar 3.0 Communities Are There?
Today there are a total of 16 Solar 3.0 Communities and all are located within the East Bay Green Corridor and Solar Sonoma County, organizations that are members of the Solar 3.0 team. In the coming months, the list will be expanded to the Top 100 Communities and to the Top 1,000 Communities by 2014. Communities are added to the list based upon how their baseline “solar readiness” score compares to others in the market.
How Are Communities Evaluated and Added?
Rocky Mountain Institute will be measuring the impact of the Solar 3.0 project on different markets throughout the U.S. with a simple and transparent interactive model. Prospective communities will be selected based upon their Baseline Readiness Score and then further measured and analyzed over the lifetime of the program. Findings from this analysis will be posted Community Profiles page. Communities and Authorities Having Jurisdiction that would like to benefit from the Solar 3.0 program are encouraged to complete the Solar 3.0 Community survey.
How Can My Community Join Solar 3.0?
